Courtesy Visit by the Australian Deputy High Commissioner to MIER

Today, the Deputy High Commissioner of Australia to Malaysia, Ms Hannah Birdsey, paid a courtesy call at the Malaysian Institute of Economic Research. She was received by the Executive Director of MIER, Dr Hezri Adnan and Senior Research Fellow, Dr Shankaran Nambiar.

MIER leadership and the Australian envoy discussed, among other things, how to strengthen the Australia-Malaysia cooperation in areas of common interest mainly through the Track-II diplomacy.

Ms Birdsey was accompanied by Mr Richard Chung, the First Secretary and Ms Kavithah Rakwan, the Economics Research Officer of the Australian High Commission.
