The Consumer Sentiments Index for 2Q2022 plummets 23 points q-o-q below the optimism threshold. The present and expected finances are subdued. Employment outlook are also less inspiring. Rising prices also caused higher anxiety towards consumers. Consumers are to tighten purse strings on major durables.
